B&H Systems is a leading cartage operation in the Chicago area. In addition to local P&D business, B&H has a number of specialties including emergency same-day deliveries, hazardous materials, liftgate and inside delivery. B&H employees create orders quickly in OneTerminal TMS. The easy order entry screen in OneTerminal TMS captures weight, pallets/skids, and cubes, as well as hazmat totals by class. Any must-see information for the driver or dispatcher goes into the order, such as “Short time window” or “Must call for appointment.” OneTerminal TMS prints up to four lines of text directly on the paperwork. “We never had this much detail on our bills before,” says B&H’s Noelle Viola. “Drivers waste very little time waiting around, so more orders get done each day.”

Frank Farrell is the early-AM dispatcher at B&H. He adds orders to new manifests by either scanning the bar-coded tickets or using “drag-and-drop.” He says, “My job is to make efficient routes that maximize profitability. I also need to keep each customer’s specific needs in mind, because we have very high standards for customer service.
